Wyatt- Intervention (SLP)

Interprofessional education (IPE) offers a collaborative approach to person-centered care with simulations developed for multiple professions.
Wyatt is a 5-year-old with a diagnosis of congenital cytomegalovirus infection and resultant bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, communication, and speech impairment. He was recently reevaluated. You are the speech-language pathology practitioner assigned to provide Wyatt's intervention session in an outpatient setting.
Recommended time for completion is 60 minutes.
Chiung-Wei- Intervention (SLP)
Chiung-Wei is a 34-year-old doctoral student in chemistry from Taiwan. She was recently evaluated and is now interested in pursuing accent modification to determine how she can more effectively communicate in meetings, presentations, and in personal interactions with other parents and professionals. You are the speech-language pathologist assigned to complete her intervention.
Recommended time for completion is 30 minutes.
Lizzie- TAPS-4 Part-Task Trainer (SLP)
Lizzie is a 13-year-old in the eighth grade who has difficulty focusing and processing information. She has an IEP at school and has been referred for an evaluation at your private practice. You are assigned to complete the TAPS-4: A Language Processing Skills Assessment (TAPS-4) with Lizzie and report your findings. This simulation is presented in partnership with Academic Therapy Publications.
Recommended time for completion is 90 minutes.
