Learning Plan
Students advance through a sequence of 10 levels that target core competencies. Along the way, they answer questions to demonstrate their knowledge, earn a badge for each level they complete, and receive a certificate of completion at the end.
The Learning Plan begins with Level 1, where you'll take a pre-assessment to help you identify what you already know about various topics and where to focus on improving.
Following the assessment, you'll progress through various levels aimed at developing career readiness skills.
The levels comprise video content organized within a scaffolded Learning Plan
- Learn from a subject matter expert who discusses important skills in areas such as communication, critical thinking, leadership, professionalism, & teamwork.
- Apply your knowledge using video scenarios
- Evaluate the skills you've learned through a simulation knowledge check.
Complete all assigned levels to earn your completion badges, and demonstrate competencies in career readiness!
The Learning Plan ends with a post-assessment to help you reflect on improvements and identify areas for future growth. A certificate of completion is awarded!
Why use simulations?
Research supports the use of simulations to determine and build competency-based skills.
- Allow repeated practice of skills
- Assist with remediation
- Bridge knowledge gaps
- Improve reasoning & critical thinking
- Predict performance
- Provide equitable learning opportunities
