Getting Started Checklist: Faculty

Follow these tips to ensure a successful Simucase experience.

1. Watch the Developing Clinical Competency through Simulation-Based Education video.

2. Watch the Assigning a Simucase Simulation video.

3. Assign the Simucase Student Training video to your students.

   

4. Assign the Simucase Practice Simulation to your students in Learning Mode so they become familiar with simulation functionality. Edit the assignment so the minimum score required for assignment completion is 10 and reiterate that a low competency score is irrelevant.

   

   Note: Before assigning the Simucase Practice simulation to your students, complete a prebrief with them and establish expectations.

5. Assign the Video Library- Student Training to your students so they become familiar with video functionality.

   

6. Ensure you answer all student questions and your students are set up for success. Consider scheduling a debrief session, hosting office hours, and/or creating a discussion board following completion of the practice simulation and video library student training.
