Simucase has added a new learning tool—Career Readiness—to its simulation-based education platform.
Career Readiness uses a combination of interactive simulations and videos presented by subject matter experts to build skills in areas such as:
Accountability
Communication
Conflict management
Professionalism
Time management
With Career Readiness, Simucase aims to foster student engagement from the classroom to job interviews and beyond.
“We're seeing a shift from employers concentrating exclusively on degree requirements and job-specific technical skills to prioritizing candidates who exhibit strong soft skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and active listening. Despite this emphasis from employers, there remain significant gaps in student preparedness for success in the modern workplace,” said Maura Lavelle, director of simulation development.
The Career Readiness learning tool aims to address this gap. Through interactive videos and simulations, students earn badges as they advance in core competencies that will equip them for success now and in their future careers. Grounded in research-backed methodologies, the scenarios are relatable and seamlessly integrate foundational information from subject matter experts.
“I'm most excited to offer this product because it transforms learning professional skills into a fun and engaging experience,” Lavelle said. “Career Readiness ensures users not only enjoy learning but also achieve significant and effective learning outcomes."
